Dr. Yang presented our lab's new study at the International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA) Sunbelt Conference in Paris, France, sharing findings from our recent paper on teacher victimization through egocentric network analysis.

The poster highlighted how negative ties—specifically, teachers’ networks with aggressive or violent students—can increase burnout, psychological distress, and turnover intentions. Key findings showed that having more aggressive students in one’s network (centrality) significantly predicted stress and burnout, especially when aggression was frequent, even if low in severity.
This study reframes teacher stress as a networked experience, offering new insights into workplace violence and teacher well-being.
