Inaugural Semester Highlights: Co-Learn Code and Mind

As we close out a busy and incredibly meaningful Fall 2025 semester, we’re excited to share our Fall Newsletter, which captures highlights from the inaugural semester of Co-Learn Code and Mind across Montgomery County.

This fall marked the successful launch of the program across five middle schools, engaging students in hands-on robotics, youth participatory inquiry, and social and emotional learning. Throughout the semester, students built and programmed robots, practiced teamwork and reflection, and explored what it means to be leaders and collaborators in their schools and communities.

The newsletter also celebrates the community that made this work possible, including school-based teacher sponsors, principals, district and university partners, community organizations, and an intergenerational network of mentors and facilitators who supported students week by week. 

We’re deeply grateful to our students for their creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm, and to the educators, families, and partners who helped lay such a strong foundation this fall. 

As we look ahead to the winter and spring sessions, we’re excited to continue building on this momentum together.
