Lean is a School Psychology Doctoral Student at the University of Maryland. Growing up in both the Philippines and South Korea shaped his passion for multicultural research in education and school mental health. His research focuses on how multicultural identity influences social, cognitive, and mental health outcomes for immigrants, refugees, international students, and other diverse populations. To survive the demanding nature of graduate school, Lean indulges in his various hobbies such as being physically active, playing video games with friends, listening to music, and exploring new restaurants and cafes.
