Such a wonderful and energizing week for the Risk, Resilience, and Culture Lab at National Association of School Psychologists 2026 in Chicago! So proud and grateful of our students and collaborators who shared their work throughout the conference.

Main presentation topics included:

1. Educators’ perspectives on AI ethics orientation and AI-SEL integration (led by Quennie Dong, Krandhasi Kodaiarasu, and Tara Vigil)

2. Cross-country studies on educator well-being (with Dr. Shane Jimerson, Dr. Chryse (Sissy) Hatzichristou, Dr. Aikaterini Lampropoulou, Dr. Danbi Choi, and Yijing Zhang)

3. Intergenerational trauma and resilience among Southeast Asian immigrant students (led by Quennie Dong and Dr. Andy Pham)

4. SEL, trauma-informed practices, and family engagement practices in California’s Universal Transitional Kindergarten policy expansion (led by Xueqin Lin, Krandhasi Kodaiarasu, Tara Vigil, and Ella Rho).

Beyond the sessions, there were many joyful moments: celebrating students’ accomplishments, reconnecting with colleagues and lab alumni, meeting with prospective students, and even taking a fun bus ride together through the city of Chicago after our lab lunch gathering.

Grateful for this community and the opportunity to learn and grow together. See you next year at NASP!
